David Kitney
Managing Director

David has been a recruitment business owner for the past 10 years and founded Emmerson Kitney in 2009. His energy and passion for recruitment with commitment to providing best in class service inspires the rest of the team. He has an excellent ability at building long term business relationships with both clients and candidates.

When he’s not working

David watches the Tigers at weekends and still plays himself for a local vets football team. When not with the family he’s out socialising and looks forward to his annual skiing trip with the lads!

Kate van der Sluis
Commercial Director

Kate’s main role is to lead on external relationships and client development. She is Advisory Board Member of Humber Bondholders; a member of the Employment and Skills Board of the Humber LEP, and founder member of the Humber LEP Talent Forum, and a steering committee member of Women into Manufacturing and Engineering (WiME).

When she’s not sharing great ideas

A mum of two daughters, Kate enjoys days out with friends and family in her spare time and winds down with a spot of Yoga. She is the person to see about, Northern Soul, Red Wine, and European Travel!

Leon Sewell
Engineering Talent Manager

Leon joined the team in June 2015 and runs our Engineering Recruitment desk in Manufacturing and Modular. With 10 years recruitment experience Leon is an expert when it comes to sourcing the perfect candidates for your clients. He is adept at relationship building with colleagues and clients through his relaxed nature, ensuring mutual respect is built upon confidence in his abilities and delivering on promises. Leon has proven his ability in successfully gaining commitment from clients and candidates within the industry.

When he’s not sourcing talent

Leon is an avid football fan and can often be found on to the pitch coaching his semi-professional football team!

Joe Makin
Contract Engineering Talent Manager

Originally working in Education a planned switch to the Recruitment sector has seen him become specialist in Contract Engineering within Manufacturing, Modular and Chemical. A genuine interest in Engineering, together with a desire to provide the very best levels of customer service to candidates and clients, makes him an excellent person to engage with for all specialist Engineering recruitment.

When he's not sourcing talent

Outside of the office you can find Joe on the pitch as Captain of the Hull Ionians rugby team. When he’s not scoring a try, Joe enjoys travelling to new cities around the world.

Nikki Davies
Recruitment Manager

Nikki joined Emmerson Kitney and SG Financial Recruitment in 2016. Working the last 9 years as a Recruitment Branch Manager in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, she has a passion for delivering on-going coaching, training and guidance to achieve business excellence. Her main role is to develop the Talent Team in providing great results for our candidates and clients alike.

When she's not managing a great team

A former farmer’s daughter, Nikki enjoys spending time with family and socialising with friends in her small Lincolnshire village.

Sam Horton
Sales and Marketing Talent Manager

Having previously worked as an IT Recruitment Consultant, Sam is an expert in sourcing hard to find candidates in a niche market. Friendly, easy-going, enthusiastic and eager to learn, Sam is quick to build relationships with candidates and clients across the wide and varied spectrum of sales and marketing roles he handles.

When he's not sourcing talent

A big cricket fan, Sam can be found scoring runs on the field for his local team!

Becki Moore
Accountancy and Finance Talent Manager

Becki joined Emmerson Kitney in 2013. She instantly made her mark on the team and showed her passion for helping people achieve, working with clients by supporting their business growth and encouraging candidates to find their dream opportunity. Her wealth of experience in a previous role as a Business Manager, has developed her commerciality and ability to achieve and excel targets.

When she’s not sourcing talent

A party planner extraordinaire, Becki enjoys spending her free time with friends. She is an avid festival fan and can often be seen crowd surfing at Glastonbury!

Karen Wood
Management Accountant

Karen is responsible for providing financial advice and support to the company directors and managers to enable them to make sound business decisions and ensure the smooth running of the business. By providing and interpreting financial information based within the company and its clients, Karen provides a clear strategy to move the business forward.

When she’s not using a calculator

Karen is the chatterbox of the team and we can always depend on her for tasty treats! She enjoys spending time with her family and can be always relied on in a crisis.

Fran Williams
Accounts Administrator

Fran is currently completing her Business & Administration Apprenticeship, she assists our Management Accountant with duties such as payroll as well as supporting the rest of the team with any level of administrative tasks, she really is the backbone to the teams success.

When she's not crunching numbers

Fran is the socialite of the team, she loves nothing more than spending her down time out at social events with friends and family and always has a busy calendar. When she’s not being a social butterfly, Fran is usually spending her hard-earned money on treating herself.

Faz Balouchi
Business Development Manager

Faz is responsible for creating connections in the region across all of our clients.

When he's not building relationships

Classed as an international man of mystery, he loves booking holidays with his fiancé and exploring new wonders of the world. He also has a keen eye for fashion and loves shopping the latest trends.

Ben Simons
Engineering & Technical Talent Manager

Ben joined the team in 2018 following a background in blue collar recruitment. Ben has a genuine interest in everything Engineering and concentrates mainly on all of our loyal clients and candidates on the south bank.

When he's not sourcing talent

Ben is the fitness fanatic of the team and enjoys spending most of his free time in the gym. When he’s not in the gym, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Morgen Gillespie
Executive Assistant

Morgen joined the team in 2017 initially as our Business & Marketing Administrator but has since progressed into a more strategic place in the business as the Executive Assistant. With over 3 years’ experience working in different recruitment agencies as a consultant, she has a wealth of knowledge in the industry which has been utilised in continuous business improvements.

When she's not working

Morgen is straight in the gym after work every night so spends her weekends usually enjoying meals out with friends and family followed by drinks and dancing. Her unique party trick is eating three eclairs in less than 30 second (hence the gym).

Adam Collick
IT Talent Manager

Adam joined the team in January 2018 after completing his apprenticeship in Business Administration as a Recruitment Sourcer working in a high-street recruitment company. Adam has a detailed knowledge and interest in IT and regularly attends events to expand his knowledge and keep up to date with the ever-changing market. He enjoys looking for hard to find talent in this sector such as Developers, Analysts and Senior Support.

When he's not sourcing talent

Adam is the techie of the team and enjoys attending conventions such as Comic Con and Games Con to name a few. When he’s not an a convention, he enjoys spending time training his Flat-Coated Retriever.
