Web Designer Permanent

A well-established local manufacturer based in North East Lincolnshire are looking at expanding their Design Team by bringing in a Web Designer. They have ambitious plans to bring their product to the US market as well as already having a considering market share nationally.

This role will be reporting to the Head of Design and have the following responsibilities:

• Work independently to shape the creative ideas and concepts for their digital platforms
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of business analysts, platform managers and developers to create design concepts that are validated by the results of testing, existing data insight and customer research
• Improving existing experiences to increase customer engagement and KPI’s
• Presenting and communicating the rationale behind the design approach to senior stakeholders
• Working with developers to ensure your designs are executed as originally intended
• Undertake research with both our customers and internal staff to inform design solutions
• Produce low and high-fidelity prototypes
• Keeping current with new developments, techniques, platforms and technologies and sharing best practices amongst the wider team

Key competencies and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years digital web design experience (agency or client-side)
• A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates multiple examples of progress projects through discovery, definition and design against set objectives
• Solid experience with either Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma or other UI design applications
• A strong understanding of responsive website design
• A can-do attitude and great communications skills. We want someone that wants to deliver the best and nothing less
• A proven appetite to stay current with the latest digital design and UX trends
