Allenby Commercial are continuing their impressive growth journey and are now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee and develop a varied commercial property portfolio across Yorkshire and beyond.
Allenby Commercial are at the forefront of commercial property development, managing an extensive portfolio across the commercial and industrial sectors, whilst also delivering construction projects nationwide, including new branch developments for MKM. Following significant recent growth and the redevelopment of the Monocle in Central Hull into a unique business hub for Hull & East Yorkshire, this is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious and entrepreneurial business.
This role will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a diverse commercial portfolio, with a strong focus on compliance, service charge management, tenant relationships, facilities coordination, and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee the general property management and maintenance of the commercial portfolio in line with compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ensure high standards of facilities management and customer experience for tenants and clients.
- Support and coordinate a small in-house facilities team and external subcontractors where required.
- Produce service charge budgets, reports, and reconciliations.
- Provide the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and local authorities with required information relating to business rates.
- Tender utilities and insurance policies and oversee recharging processes to tenants.
- Monitor and report on income and losses relating to utilities and renewable energy.
- Manage supplier agreements and contracts.
- Work closely with the accounts department to ensure rents, service charges, and supplier invoices are collected efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for property improvements and implement approved changes.
- Take ownership of property management systems and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Manage and monitor critical lease dates, including renewals, rent reviews, break clauses, and lease expiries.
- Coordinate and respond appropriately to legal notices and documentation.
- Ensure compliance across the portfolio in relation to health & safety, fire safety, CCTV, and all relevant legal obligations.
- Standardise property-related documentation across the business.
- Carry out regular site inspections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, clients, and suppliers.
- Direct the facilities team in maintaining high standards of property upkeep and maintenance.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements within commercial property
- Experience managing health & safety and statutory compliance across commercial properties
- Previous experience managing or supervising teams, contractors, or suppliers
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and property-related projects effectively
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of insurance, utilities, service charge management, and commercial property principles
- Experience preparing budgets, service charge reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong relationship-building skills with tenants, suppliers, and clients
- Experience using property management systems and accounting software
- Commercially minded with a proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach
- RICS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
- Familiarity with renewable energy solutions or sustainability initiatives would be beneficial
