Financial Controller
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a large and well-established manufacturing business based in Hull. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to lead a finance function, support business-critical projects, and contribute to the company’s ongoing growth and development plans.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in both the day-to-day financial management of the business and its longer-term strategic direction.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Producing, reviewing and presenting monthly management accounts
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the business
- Providing financial analysis and commentary to support commercial decision-making
- Developing and maintaining product costing models and cost analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reviews
- Maintaining and administering transfer pricing policies
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations and internal controls
- Managing internal and external audit processes
- Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team
- Driving continuous improvement across financial processes, controls and reporting
- Supporting wider business projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to support strategic business objectives
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong experience producing management accounts and financial reporting
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment or as a Site Accountant would be highly advantageous
- Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
- Ability to operate effectively both strategically and in a hands-on capacity
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Experience driving process improvements and implementing best practice controls
- CIMA qualification desirable
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- Salary of £70,000 – £80,000 DOE
