OPPORTUNITY

Based in the North American office located in Elgin, IL about 45 minutes from Chicago this role embodies all things HR. Working onsite reporting to Operations Manager, COO and CFO you will also work under the direction of the HR Manager based in the UK Head Office to ensure HR best practice is achieved and an effective global HR strategy delivered.

You will have direct management of a HR Coordinator and be responsible for:

• Ensuring the correct HR systems, policies and processes are in place to safeguard the business and remain compliant in all people related matters
• Ensuring compliance with employment laws and correcting policy to accurately reflect
• Talent development and implementation of an L&D function which supports the wider needs of the business
• Providing and organizing orientation process for new hires
• Coordinate and work with UK office HR to ensure office values match
• Coaching and supporting managers to enable them to manage their teams effectively

PERSON

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable HR Generalist. As a HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and support on various HR matters to both employees and management. You will have the enthusiasm and the passion to make a difference. To be considered for this role you will possess the following.

• A minimum of 5 years HR advisory experience and a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment law
• A professional HR qualification e.g. Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Knowledge of employment law across several US states would be a distinct advantage
