A recent project example would be The Monocle in Hull which they have purchased, re-developed and commercialised it which in turn helps the local economy thrive.

As they continue to grow Allenby Commercial are hiring for an Estates and Properties Manager to managing their portfolio of properties, from contracts and compliance through to facilities management.

The role will report to the Directors and be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • General property management and maintenance
  • Ensuring good facilities, services and experience for their clients
  • To lead a small facilities team as well as some sub-contractors
  • Producing service charge budgets, reports and reconciliations
  • Provide VOA and local authorities with all required information for business rates
  • To tender utilities and insurance policies as well as overseeing re-charging of this to tenants
  • Reporting on income and losses from renewables/utilities
  • Managing other supplier agreements when applicable
  • Working closely with their accounts department to ensure all rents, service charges, supplier bills are collected
  • Identify property improvements and implement changes after board approval
  • Be a lead on their property management systems
  • Own their calendars critical dates for example critical dates, lease renewals, rent reviews, identify upcoming break clauses and end of lease dates.
  • Taking appropriate legal action in relation to notices received
  • Ensuring compliance with legal documentation, health and safety, fire, CCTV etc
  • Managing the transactions or property handovers
  • Standardising documentation across the companies
  • Site inspections
  • Implement feedback collecting, reviewing and actioning.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Direct facilities team in maintaining property upkeep and maintenance.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a surveying position or Facilities Management role
  • Knowledge in compliance within property management
  • Experience within Health and Safety within property management
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Must be able to drive and have a car
  • Proven experience in account management or related field.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of insurance, utilities, and property management principles.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and accounting.
